Bradley Cooper’s big change is most visible in the images in which the actor plays Leonard Bernstein as an older man. The story is expected to span thirty years of Bernstein’s life and career, with the composer and conductor making his New York Philharmonic Orchestra debut at the age of 25. His life was marked by many civil wars and by legendary compositions, such as the soundtrack of West Side Story and Fronte dal Porto. But in the film a lot of space will be reserved for the relationship between Bernstein and his wife.
Directed by Bradley Cooper himself, who co-wrote the film with Josh Singer. The feature film is produced by Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, Kristie Macosko Krieger, Bradley Cooper, Fred Berner and Amy Durning. Carey Mulligan, Matt Bomer and Maya Hawke will also be seen in Maestro. Bradley Cooper plays Broadway composer Bernstein, while Mulligan plays his wife Felicia Montealegre.
