Where does the unique bond between Inquisitor Riva and Darth Vader come from? Third episode Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ has left behind several episodes that have puzzled and amazed fans. He also delved into one of his main villains to show he’s more complex than he looks.

So far, the Third Inquisitor Sister Reva has shown herself to be a figure filled with greed that borders on recklessness. But in the new chapter of the series, everything doesn’t seem so easy. This confirms that the character has more than obvious intentions to take up the mantle of Grand Inquisitor. In addition, she has accurate information about Darth Vader, which can give her an advantage. Not even that he has direct contact with the most dangerous Sith Lord in the galaxy.

Under the rule of the Empire, Obi-Wan Kenobi is on an important mission.

An important detail that seems to have a complex context in a series that has not yet been fully shown. Knowing Darth Vader’s real name before his transformation into a relationship with Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The Inquisitor appears to be more than just part of a brutal order dedicated to hunting down Jedi. In fact, in the last scene of Chapter 3, Reva seems to know exactly who Leia is and what links her to Darth Vader. Something that confirms his decision to use the girl as bait to attract Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Already in the second chapter, Riva made it clear that “investigated” to figure out how to get Kenobi to fight again. But the significance of the episode’s final scene, in which he reveals to the Jedi that Anakin survived his encounter with Mustafar, lends nuance to the claim. Can an Inquisitor have access to personal and direct information about the Emperor’s right hand? Even more curious is that he knows his Jedi origin and the identity of his master. Is all this in files available to everyone?

Actually, now what’s lifted is getting harder to understand. Reva seems to have accurate data on everything related to Vader. And after a short conversation with him, he clarifies some interesting points. Among them is the possibility that Vader himself provided information to Reva, which would mean that his position in the Order is different. Is Reva a spy for Darth Vader in the order? Or is he his personal Kenobi hunter?

Greedy revenge on Obi-Wan Kenobi

The series does not provide clarity and one can even conclude that information about Anakin is not as secret as one might think.

Even more unique is that Reva insists on using Leia, not Luke, to draw out Kenobi. Is it only about capturing a fugitive Jedi, or is Reva planning to do something else? If, as the chapter makes clear, Leia knows her lineage – which means her adoption is no secret – her kidnapping has a double meaning. Not only to lure Kenobi (like him), but also possibly an exchange of information with Vader. Could Riva have more than enough information to get the mantle of Grand Inquisitor?

At least Reva seems confident on the matter. So he said to the second Brother Inquisitor. “You can take credit for yourself, but in the end, that’s one way,” she says, not seeming bothered by her boss’s actions. What information does Reva work with to ensure that she is so secure in the future?

Inquisitor Reva, one of the strangest characters

Reva is one of the most curious characters to have recently appeared in Star Wars live-action. Unknown to many fans, he is barely mentioned in the handbook: Darth Maul and Other Followers of the Dark Side, published on July 13, 2021. Always in the text analyzing the role of the Sith in the Empire, Reva is the third Sister Inquisitor and played a prominent role in the execution of Order 66.

Nonetheless, no information about his relationship with Darth Vader, in addition to being part of his assassination squad. Could the Reva be more than just Vader’s tool of destruction? Three chapters ahead Obi-Wan Kenobi leaves little information about it. Or at least not enough to draw an immediate conclusion.
