For streaming platform TV shows are more productive than movies, because the latter are viewed in two hours, and the series takes days. Or weeks, if the chapter airs every 7 days, as it is now.
That’s why Disney is betting so heavily on Marvel and Star Wars series. And this Wednesday, June 8, we have two important premieres from both universes.
The new Marvel series is here! Named Ms. Marvel, and is part of Phase 4 of the UCM. It’s sort of a prologue to the Marvel movie we’ll see in theaters next year. here you can see Ms Marvel trailer:
Ms. Marvel youth court series featuring kamala khan, a Muslim girl living in Jersey City. Besides being a non-stop console gamer and fanfiction writer, Kamala is a big fan of superheroes, especially Captain Marvel.
Like most teenagers, Kamala feels out of place at school and at home.until one day he gains the superpowers of his idols. What can you do with them?
With a touch of comedy, action and adventure. Ms. Marvel invites us to discover Kamala Khan’s journey from youth to maturity.
The role is played by Iman Bellani, a Canadian actress of Pakistani origin. Aramis Knight, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapoor, Matt Linz and more accompany her in the cast.
The series was created by the author Bisha K. Ali, Pakistani-born British screenwriter who is also a data scientist. He wrote the chapters of the Sex Education series as well as the miniseries 4 Weddings and a Funeral.
Ms Marvel opens June 8th. exclusively on Disney+. This mini-series consists of 6 chaptersand it’s sort of a prologue to the Marvel movie we’re seeing next year.
Another great premiere this Wednesday Chapter 4 of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, which breaks audience records and good reviews.
When it seemed that Obi-Wan succeeded in the first “mission”, the matter is complicated by the appearance of a star, and everything hangs in the air. We hope to find some answers in the new chapter that will open. this Wednesday June 8th on Disney+.
As chapters progress, voices rise against the behavior of Obi-Wan from the series, which doesn’t match the powerful Jedi we’ve seen in the movies. But we also have to appreciate that he was “unplugged” from the Force for 10 years and never recovered from the “shock” he received in chapters 2 and 3.
Like anything new in Star Wars post-Lucas, it draws passion and criticism in equal measure.
