The name of the series will be I Am Groot and It’s coming to Disney Plus on August 10. The animated short series focuses on none other than Baby Groot (the most appealing among the public) as Vin Diesel reprises his role as the voice of the cute little anthropomorphic tree.

Marvel Studios announced the upcoming release with a tweet showing the official poster of Star-Lord’s Baby Groot (played by Chris Pratt in the movies) sitting on one of the headphones attached to his iconic Walkman.

If you look at the details, a palm tree-shaped air freshener (showing how tiny Baby Groot is) is next to it, with two four-eyed alien penguin-like creatures looking out from behind.

We haven’t seen these two mischievous looking creatures in any of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, but it looks like they’ll play some sort of role in the new series.

Other than the poster, Marvel and Disney haven’t revealed much about the series, though Marvel loosely describes it as “”.Retrace Baby Groot’s bright days when he grew up and got into trouble among the stars“.

As such, we don’t know if any other animated Guardians will appear in the series.or will it just focus on Groot and his very limited vocabulary (Vin Diesel won’t be muffled, that’s for sure).

Teaser for SheHulk! DisneyPlusDay

Disney already has several short series on its streaming service Actors following beloved supporting characters who were less prominent in the films they appeared in, such as Dug Days, Olaf Presents, and Ice Age Scrat Tales.

I Am Groot will premiere just before She-Hulk, which arrives on Disney Plus on August 17. The first original Guardians of the Galaxy spin-off ever.
