Many aficionados would be intrigued by the idea of seeing the cinematic crossover Django / Zorroof Jamie Foxx main character e Antonio Banderas again as the masked bandit, and possibly with Quentin Tarantino directing. Banderas himself revealed that he had spoken to Quentin Tarantino about the project.
This is what they said:
We spoke on the night of the 2020 Oscars, when I was nominated for Dolor y Gloria. We met at a party. He came up to me and I said that if the project was in his hands, I’d be there, because Quentin has the ability to make these kinds of movies and give them quality. Even though they are feature films based on productions from the sixties or seventies, he knows how to use this material to make it very interesting. We’ve never worked together, but that would be strong, given his presence and Jamie Foxx’s presence, and why I’d like to do Zorro in old age. That would be awesome, fun and crazy.
Even if the Django/Zorro project doesn’t seem on the horizon, the masked bandit has two adaptations in the works: one starring Wilmer Valderrama, while the other would be a story featuring a female Zorro, with Robert Rodriguez joining the project is involved.
