Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe really wanted the X-Men to finally experience their adventures. Wanda and Peter Maximoff first appear in Avengers: Age of Morning (2014) and are theoretically children of Magneto. Then comes the Asian island of Madripoor, which is frequented by mutants. Falcon and Winter Soldier (2021). And finally Professor X comes out in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022).
Naturally, none of the above means that there are characters of this species on Earth-616, which is currently the main setting of the franchise, nor that, therefore, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch belong to the same species, or that Wolverine is used as the saw bar of the princess of the aforementioned archipelago. But the fact that Charles Xavier is in Sam Raimi’s film gives us confidence that with the release of the multiverse, we have x-men.
And not only the inhabitants of the X-Mansion and company, of course. Also to the fantastic four Reed Richards and nonhumans from Blackgar Boltagan, who makes up the Illuminati on Earth-838 along with Peggy Carter, Maria Rambeau, Karl Mordo and the aforementioned Professor X… until Wanda Maximoff arrives corrupted by the Darkhold and kills them one by one – except baron – in the most brutal sequence Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Professor X has been killed…again
But only one of the five the one we’ve seen dying in other features is Charles Xavier.so the audacity of screenwriter Michael Waldron, allowed by Sam Raimi himself and executive producer Kevin Feige, to kill him a bit boring again. However, had she not shared the deadly fate of her companions, the prospects for the ruthless Scarlet Witch might have dimmed. And if the sorcerer Chiwetel Ejiofor survives, it’s because he doesn’t stand up to her.
AT X-Men: The Last Stand (2006), the powerful Jean Gray loses control of her psychic powers and transforms into the fearsome Dark Phoenix, blasting Professor X to atoms in front of Magneto and Wolverine in horrific sequence. But not without the fact that he managed to transfer his consciousness to Dr. Moira MacTaggert’s comatose patient, as we are told during the post-credits scene, in which the poor fellow suddenly speaks in his recognizable voice.

which no excuse adequate his return with a rebuilt body in a scene like Wolverine immortal (2013), which prepares us for the apocalyptic events of 2023 in X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014), in which the ultra-tech guardians of a program created by Dr. Bolivar Trask are about to send him to another area with a fiery jet. Like Magneto, Wolverine is wise in 1973 and Kitty Pryde.
Tragedy fading away
As Raven Darkholme then fails to shoot scientist Peter Dinklage, causing hostility from the people and full support for the program, the latter fails, and near death experience never happens. But this is a fleeting joy. From what we are told in Logan (2017), Alzheimer’s disease destroys Charles Xavier’s brain, inadvertently killing nearly all of the X-Men. And only Wolverine remained.
A girl named Laura, with her abilities, escapes from the facilities of the Alkali-Transigen biotechnology corporation and finds herself under the protection of “her father”. And, in my desperate flight, X-24 clone of the main character mortally wounds with his retractable adamantium claws to Professor X at Will Munson’s farm. And soon after that, he dies, perhaps thinking that he was stabbed by an old friend. But, as in Doctor Strange in the universe of madnessdoes not resurrect.
Let’s remember, anyway, what it means in this case is that Marvel offered to integrate the previous films into their Cinematic Universe, taking advantage of, yes, the multiverse situation and the intervention of their characters in the superhero saga with the same actors. Who played them: Patrick Stewart’s Professor X has already been killed on three separate occasions. D repeat something yes horrible loses power every time. So please stop killing him.
