Joe Russoone of the two Russo brothers who made the blockbuster Avengers movies recently talked about Extraction 2the new movie with Chris Hemsworth which is expected to appear on Netflix’s streaming platform in 2023, for which he wrote the script. Russo mentioned some differences between the first and second feature.
Here are his words:
A great movie, and really different from the first Extraction. In a way, it’s a movie in itself. There’s a different schematic color, it’s set in a different part of the world, and it’s also a different tone. For us, it was also another way of approaching a serialized story, something unexpected compared to the idea of making a movie that then changes from what was done last time. Chris Hemsworth is amazing, and it was a blast to shoot. We are very happy to be able to show it to the public.
The film continues with the story of Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth), a covert mercenary whose mission in Extraction is to rescue Ovi (Rudhraksh Jaiswal) from the clutches of his father’s rival. Directed by longtime stuntman Sam Hargrave and produced by the Russo brothers, Extraction was a huge success for Netflix, becoming the streaming service’s biggest original feature film debut, and has been hailed as one of its hits.
