THE Duffer brothers they founded the Photos upside down which apparently will not focus exclusively on projects related to Weird stuffbut already has a number of new productions ready, including a live-action TV series on obituary

The new project on Netflix comes after a first film that disappointed fans’ expectations, but has a sequel planned that hasn’t been heard from for a while. The fact that the Duffer brothers have been put at the helm of the live-action series project on Death Note suggests that the streaming platform wants to focus on the franchise’s total relaunch. The TV series will not be linked to the film.

The manga was also adapted into a 37-episode anime, considered one of the best anime ever made. In 2017, Netflix released its own live-action adaptation of Death Note, but it was panned by critics and fans alike for straying too far from both the story presented by the anime and the manga.

Meanwhile, Netflix’s Ted Sarandos said of the renewed partnership with the Duffer brothers:

Matt and Ross are exceptional talents. They have a real eye for detail and it is no coincidence that Stranger Things managed to capture the zeitgeist of the time. We are excited to share new stories with them, Hilary and Upside Down Pictures.
