In this magazine, we have mentioned from time to time the apocalyptic series Sex Education, which for the first time triumphed on Netflix by talking about the sexual problems of adolescents.
Beyond being a hilarious show, it’s well-written with people, the show responds perfectly to teenage concerns, bringing the work to millions of viewers around the world. And after three successful seasons, changes are coming.
Sex Education is gearing up for its fourth (and possibly final) season on Netflixand two members of the team have confirmed that they will not be returning to the halls of Moordale, despite being key to the story.
Patricia Allison, who plays Ola in the hit Netflix series, recently Capital Extra He said he would “not join the team”. For the fourth season of Sex Education, she has expressed a desire to pursue “some other little things.”
Allison’s resignation comes after the departure of co-star Simone Ashley, who currently has a commitment to another Netflix series, Bridgerton. It means she won’t be able to reprise the role of Olivia Hanan in the next season of Sex Education.
Especially the absence of Allison Wave will leave a big gap in the later parts of the series. Ola is Jakob’s daughter and Otis Milburn’s first big love in Sex Education for the first three seasons. This character had great significance.
Olivia is a bit of a supporting role compared to Ola, so Ashley’s departure won’t be too big of a deal for fans., because there wasn’t much of a conspiracy on it… not even good dialogue. Although it shows that the stars of tomorrow are coming out of this series.
It’s no surprise that many of the Sex Education leaders have landed film and television roles in light of their success with Netflix. and it’s unclear whether all the main members of the series will be returning for a fourth season.
For example, while Ncuti Gatwa has been confirmed to be the next Doctor Who, Emma Mackey is currently filming with Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling in Greta Gerwig’s long-awaited Barbie movie (which will also feature Gatwa).
Both in Sex Education play Eric and Maeve, two characters around which much of the history of the series revolves.
Asa Butterfield (Otis) and Gillian Anderson (Jean) were already established actors when Sex Education premiered on Netflix in 2019, so their participation in Sex Education season four seems a little more assured.
