The fact that Sylvester Stallone left the role of rockyand will not appear in Creed 3, does not mean that the interpreter is done with the franchise, on the contrary, outside of the side projects, Stallone has just requested some of the rights of the character back.
Here’s what he said via Instagram Stallone, suggesting an image of the manufacturer next to his words Irwin Winkler depicted as a snake:
A flattering portrait of Irwin Winkler by a great artist. Since Irwin has been in control of Rocky for 47 years and is now doing the same with Creed, I would like some of my rights back to the character before they are passed on to his children. I think it might be a nice gesture from a 93 year old. This is something that eats my soul, because I would like to leave something from Rocky to my children.
This is a targeted and vehement attack on the producer who, according to Stallone, has been exploiting and profiting from the character’s rights for nearly 50 years. It is a case ready to reserve new special developments.
Recall that the new chapter of the saga associated with Rocky, or Creed 3, will be released in theaters in November.
