The spider verse of Sony will expand further with the movies about Kraven the Hunter and those on Madame Weband the release of the latter was recently delayed to October 6, 2023. The film was initially set to hit theaters on July 7, 2023.

With Madame Web occupying the October 6, 2023 slot, Sony has moved another Marvel title whose name has not been revealed, which was originally set to hit theaters on October 6 next year, and was instead slated for June 7, 2024 .

The Madame Web project is directed by SJ Clarkson, who has previously worked on TV series such as Bates Motel and Jessica Jones, and the screenplay will be composed by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless. According to some reports, the feature film will be slightly broader than a film devoted solely to Madame Web, also given the sparse material of the stories produced about the character so far.

The character made her debut in The Amazing Spider-Man comics: she is a blind woman who managed to develop skills as a medium. Madame Web therefore represents another character from the spider-verse, which Sony performs with films about Venom (whose third feature is also in the works) and Morbius.
