The long-awaited trailer for the sandman was published online after being featured during the panel of the San Diego Comic Con 2022. The show based on Neil Gaiman’s comics will be available on Netflix’s streaming platform from August 5.
Here’s the trailer for The Sandman.
This is the summary:
There is another world that opens up as soon as we close our eyes and start dreaming, a place where The Sandman exists, the master of dreams who shapes our fantasies and fears. But when Dream is captured and held captive for a century, its absence will have repercussions in both the dream world and the real world. And to restore order, Dream will have to traverse worlds and timelines damaged in his absence, find amazing friends and foes, and encounter new entities, both human and supernatural.
In “The Sandman” it is possible to find a rich mix of mythology and dark fantasy in which modern fiction is intertwined with historical drama and legend. The plot follows the characters and places that have fallen under the influence of Morpheus, the lord of dreams who corrects the cosmic (and human) mistakes he has made during his long existence.
The show’s cast includes Tom Sturridge (Dream of the Endless), Gwendoline Christie (Lucifer), Sanjeev Bhaskar (Cain), Amid Chaudry (Abel), Charles Dance (Roderick Burgess), Vivienne Acheampong (Lucienne), Boyd Holbrook ( the Corinthian). Artists also include Jenna Coleman (Johanna Constantine), David Thewlis (John Dee), Stephen Fry (Gilbert), Patton Oswalt (voice of Matthew the Raven), Joely Richardson (Ethel Cripps), Kirby Howell-Baptiste (Death) , Mason Alexander Park (Desire), Donna Preston (Despair), Niamh Walsh (Ethel Cripps as a young man), Kyo Ra (Rose Walker), Razane Jammal (Lyta Hall) and Sandra James Young (Unity Kincaid).
