Prey will come Disney + on August 5, but in the meantime critics have already seen the feature film, and some even call it the best film in the saga of Predator. The story will be a prequel set 300 years ago in the Comanche nation.

Among the comments to report about Prey, we have that of Collider’s Steven Weintraub who described the reaction in the hall after watching the film:

The audience gave the cast and directors a long standing ovation. Everyone liked it, and so did I.

Perri Nemiroff called it his “favorite movie of the Predator saga.” I loved the fact that the story is a personal and deep story enhanced by the Comanche question and Predator’s suggestions”.

Ross Bonaime spoke of “the funniest Predator movie I’ve ever seen. Dan Trachtenberg made a film with continuous action, and Amber Midthunder turns out to be really tough.”

The Wrap’s Drew Taylor considers Prey “a clever reimagining of the franchise,” while Kate Sanchez describes Prey as “phenomenal.” Shannon McGrew’s words were also positive, speaking of Prey as “one of the best entries in the franchise. She captures the spirit of her predecessors, with an unexpected heroine to cheer for”.
