Marvel Cinematic Universe He’s going through a phase where Kevin Feige and his managers are spending time reviewing their next acquisitions. As we approach stages 5 and 6, we need to find actors to bring to life the superheroes who are about to debut. Obviously knowing that Marvel movies and TV shows are usually successful, some actors are raising their hands in an attempt to be tactful. It is assumed that one of them Ryan Gosling.
The beginning of June, Josh Horowitzfrom MTVNews, reported that Ryan Gosling denied rumors linking him to the role of Nova. Although it is now clear that he will not fall at the feet of the superhero Richard Ride, Gosling did not miss the opportunity to mention this. Would love to be in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but with a different character: Ghost Rider.
Ryan Gosling’s supposed statement got to Kevin Feige, who made no secret of his desire to work with the actor. “Ryan is amazing. I would like to find a place for him in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.. He dressed up as Ken in Venice Beach and got more attention than the giant movies that opened that weekend. It’s amazing,” he said. MTVNews.
Is there a chance Ryan Gosling will play Ghost Rider? Of course, there must be intentions on both sides. Although the statement he gave to Horowitz is not recorded, the reporter claims that Gosling is fully prepared for role talks. If we add the statement of Kevin Feige to the above, then the table is set so that, at a minimum, they sit down for negotiations.
Phase 5 and 6 are waiting for new characters
Luckily for Ryan Gosling, he has plenty of time to fit into his schedule. We know in advance that Ghost Rider is not part of Phase 5but we cannot guarantee the same for Phase 6. As of now, the only confirmed feature films for Phase 2 are Avengers: Kang Dynasty D Avengers: Secret Wars. Thus, at this stage there will be more productions in which there will be a place.
A question that cannot be left aside is that Marvel is analyzing which characters can succeed on their own on the big screen and which others are better suited to try their luck in a Disney+ series. However, in the particular case of Ghost Rider two of his attempts at cinema were a complete failure.
The first, Ghost Rider: Ghost Avenger (2007), starring Nicolas Cage, was critically panned but grossed no more than $228 million. Then, in 2012, the premiere took place Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, whose box office receipts were even more disappointing at only $132 million. In short, in the seventh art, the character did not succeed.
But knowing that Ryan Gosling could ride this iconic motorcycle on fire, you can be sure that the public will react positively. Time will tell if the actor who is about to appear as Ken in Barbiewill take its place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
