After the DC Comics Batgirl movie was canceled and following a major restructuring of DC Films, several fans feared the continuation of Peacemaker, the TV series featuring John Cena who will direct the second season in development. But come on Peacekeeper 2 the director himself James Gunn he wanted to cheer everyone up a little.
On Twitter, the filmmaker wrote:
Yes guys, don’t worry, Peacemaker 2 is safe.

About the development of the show, Gunn said:
I know how it starts and I know how it ends, but I’m playing with some ideas that are in the middle.
The TV series sees the “pacifist vigilante” played by John Cena struggling (in his own way) to restore peace and who is surrounded by a wealthy cast, consisting of Steve Agee (John Economos), Danielle Brooks (Leota Adebayo ), Robert Patrick (Auggie Smith), Jennifer Holland (Emilia Harcourt), Chris Conrad (Vigilante), Christopher Heyerdahl (Captain Locke), Chukwudi Iwuji (Clemson Murn), Lochlyn Munro (Larry Fitzgibbon), Annie Chang (Sophie Song), Elizabeth Faith Ludlow (Keeya) and Rizwan Manji (Jamil).
