The blockbuster of Top Gun: Maverickconsidering that the feature film starring Tom Cruise recently hit the US box office of Titanicmaking it the seventh highest-grossing ever in the United States.
Top Gun: Maverick made $662 million, while Titanic made $659 million, thanks in part to various redistributions. Internationally, however, the numbers are changing, with Top Gun: Maverick reaching $1.3 billion in revenue, while Titanic has $2.2 billion. Keep in mind that Top Gun: Maverick has not been distributed in China or Russia so far.

Lieutenant Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise), one of the best pilots in the Navy, is still where he wants to be after more than thirty years of service. He avoids the promotion that would no longer allow him to fly, and once again pushes the boundaries by boldly testing new planes. Called to train a special team of Top Gun Academy students for a covert mission, Maverick meets Lt. Bradley Bradshaw (Miles Teller), nicknamed “Rooster”, son of his longtime flying mate Nick Bradshaw “Goose”. Struggling with an uncertain future and the ghosts of his past, Maverick will have to face his deepest fears to complete a very difficult mission, which will require great sacrifice from anyone who chooses to participate.
