It seems that Steve Martin be ready to end his career after finishing his experience with Only murders in the building. The actor told The Hollywood Reporter about it, stating that he will not be looking for other roles after the show.
Steve Martin said:
It could be a natural ending to the journey. Someone gets sick, or someone gets exhausted. I want to end this by doing it with Marty. When the TV series ends, I won’t look for anything else. I’m not going to make any more movies. I won’t make cameos. Strange, but it must be.
We remember that Steve Martin started working for the screen in the late 1970s, taking part in productions such as The Father of the Bride, One Ticket in Two and The Pink Panther.
As for Only Murders in the Building, the show has been renewed for a third season and is available on Disney+. Here’s the summary:
After the shocking death of Arconia’s chairman of the board, Bunny Folger, Charles (Steve Martin, Father of the Bride), Oliver (Martin Short, The Morning Show) and Mabel (Selena Gomez, The Dead Don’t Die) try to his killer. However, three (unfortunate) complications arise: The trio becomes publicly involved in Bunny’s murder, finds themselves at the center of a rival podcast, and also faces a group of New York neighbors who believe they committed the murder.
