The funding round was led by Underground Ventures (UGV) and included funds from Swiss fund Kickfund, Silicon Valley investor Christian Bach and several Swiss investors. Companies such as Hans Barmettler & Co AG, Bospi AG and WSG AG also participated in the tour.
Borobotics aims to revolutionize geothermal energy with its advanced drilling robot designed to make the process more efficient, quieter and greener.
The funds will help Borobotics develop prototype drilling rigs so they can drill to depths of up to 250 metres.
