The new original movie Beavis and Butt-Head to conquer the universe will be available from October 11 exclusively on Paramount+, Paramount’s new streaming service launched in Italy on September 15, 2022. So here is all the official information relaunched today, along with the official photos and the new trailer.
The film will be given a unique ‘touch’ in the local version thanks to two stand-up comedians and exceptional Italian comics authors, who will lend their voices to the two protagonists: Edoardo Ferrario and Luca Ravenna. From Rome and Milan respectively, both born in 1987 and always friends, Ferrario and Ravenna are among the most esteemed and recognized faces of Italian stand-up comedy. So similar but also so different, they both know how to depict everyday life and deal with more or less light issues with unprecedented flashes, surprising perspectives and above all laughable. In the Italian version of the film, they will be seen as voice actors: Luca Ravenna will voice Beavis, while Butt-Head will voice Edoardo Ferrario.
Beavis and Butt-Head, one of the most iconic animation duos of the 90s, returns with a story that technically spans two centuries and promises to top all future lists of the dumbest sci-fi movies ever made.
The saga begins when Beavis and Butt-Head find themselves in a space field thanks to the “creative conviction” of a juvenile judge in 1998. After ruining a mission, they are left in space, crossing a black hole and reappearing in 2022. Earth, only to discover a completely different world and be considered “Buttholes of Interest” by the NSA, the governor of Texas and as a highly intelligent version of himself from a parallel universe. Also, they almost get to the point of losing their virginity, but then it doesn’t happen.
In addition to the new movie, the entire library of over 200 remastered episodes of “Beavis and Butt-Head” will be available to stream exclusively through the service, along with a new series due out later this year.
Originally created and voiced by writer, producer, and director Mike Judge, the characters of Beavis and Butt-Head were born in his 1992 short film “Frog Baseball,” which aired on MTV’s “Liquid Television.” After MTV commissioned a full character series, “Beavis and Butt-Head” aired for seven seasons from March 8, 1993 to November 28, 1997. The series resumed in 2011 with an eighth season airing on MTV.
Since its first season, “Beavis and Butt-Head” has received widespread critical acclaim for its satirical and critical view of society. The show’s popularity spawned several related content, including the 1996 theatrical film “Beavis and Butt-Head Do America”.
