That Angela Lansbury there are no longer many anecdotes and past situations involving the actress who became iconic for playing the role of writer Jessica Fletcher in The Lady in Crime. One of the most interesting curiosities is the account of the period when Lansbury rescued her daughter from the cult of Charles Manson.
According to what Lansbury herself told the Daily Mail in 2014:
It all started with cannabis and then turned to heroin. In the hills of Malibu, there was this kind of fascination, and the idea of getting involved in really deadly stuff. It pains me to say this, but Deidre was in Charles Manson’s group. She was very fascinated by him, he was very charismatic. So we decided to move the family to a house in County Cork. Ireland was my mother’s homeland and a place where my children would be far away from bad influences. I have another house there and I go there once a year. For years I avoided work and stayed there.
Later, Lansbury’s daughter found the ideal person to start a family and returned to Los Angeles, where she began running an Italian restaurant. Today Deidre is 69 years old.
