News about the production of Green Lanternthe TV series of HBO come on character DC Comics which has been in development since 2019. According to what Deadline revealed in the middle of the show, there will no longer be the characters Guy Gardner and Alan Scott, but instead John Stewartone of the first black superheroes in the DC universe.
This change of perspective on Green Lantern has resulted in showrunner Seth Grahame-Smith no longer being involved with the new project, although Berlanti Productions remains the production company that will handle the show. Recall that Berlanti Productions has already worked on Titans, Doom Patrol and Dead Boys Detectives.
Previous performers involved in the Green Lantern show included Finn Wittrock and Jeremy Irvine who would play Gardner and Scott. The original project was written by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Grahame-Smith, with the aim of reinventing the DC characters from the original comic, with a story that begins in 1941 and tells of the first Green Lantern, FBI agent Alan Scott. (Irvine), and also focused on 1984’s Green Lantern, Guy Gardner (Wittrock).
