Awards season is coming to one of its most exciting moments. Undoubtedly, one of the most anticipated events of the season is the Oscars, also known as the Oscars.
As usual, at this time, everything is ready for the start of the awards ceremony, which, unlike other years, will not take place on the red carpet (and for good reason). This year the ceremony will take place Sunday, March 12 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.
If you want to watch the Oscars, there are many options to watch the ceremony from home.
Whether it’s TV, streaming platforms or social media, we’ll tell you everything you need to know about the awards ceremony. Including our predictions of the winners.
Oscars schedule
If nothing changes, the Oscars will begin at 5:00 pm California time, around 2:00 am in Spain. Oscars delivery schedule varies by country and time zone. This is the delivery time for some countries in Latin America and Spain:
- Mexico: 19:00 (Mexico time), Sunday, March 12, 2023
- Argentina: 21:00 (Buenos Aires time), Sunday, March 12, 2023
- Colombia: 19:00 (Bogota time), Sunday, March 12, 2023
- Chile: 21:00 (Santiago time), Sunday, March 12, 2023
- Peru: 19:00 (Lima time), Sunday, March 12, 2023
- Spain: 2:00 (Madrid time), early morning from 12 to 13 March.
Where to watch the Oscars
Depending on where you live, you will have more or less trouble when it comes to watching the gala live. The easiest way to see the Oscars is on TV, but unfortunately this option is limited (open) to a few countries. In the United States the ceremony can be seen on ABC. The bad news is that you will have to have a cable.
If you don’t have this option, you can access the broadcast through TV services that include it on their channels: Hulu with Live TV, YouTube TV, Sling TV, and DirecTV Now. Be sure to check the availability of these services in your area and make sure the ABC channel is included in the package you choose.
In Spain you can with Movistar and in Mexico with Azteca
In Spain, like every year, Movistar Plus+ will broadcast live and exclusively through Estrenos 2 on M+ the awards ceremony, which will take place on early morning from Sunday 12 to Monday 13 March. Logically, you should have some TV packages that include the Premiere channel.
As for Latin America, it will again be in TNT, where it can be seen live for most countries. However, one of the big exceptions to TNT’s broadcast is Mexico, where they can be seen via Aztec 7.
Oscar, also on HBO Max
In addition, for the first time, a live broadcast of the gala concert can be seen in the Latin American part on HBO Max, such as The company itself confirmedwhich will coincide with the release of the last series Last of us:
