Gran Turismo will be a movie and not a TV series, according to a new Deadline report. For the uninitiated, Sony yesterday announced that it has approved three new projects currently in production at PlayStation Productions, the division dedicated to film and television adaptations of the major PlayStation IPs. The first two projects concern the production of Horizon Zero Dawn and God of War TV Series and the third concerns the adaptation of Gran Turismo, which was initially thought to be a TV series. Now the possibility arises that this project is actually a film adaptation.

According to Deadline reports, Sony is even planning to make a movie about Gran Turismo with Neill Blomkamp, the director of District 9, directing. As far as we know, this is a possibility that cannot be ruled out. In addition, Sony did not announce a publisher yesterday for the product dedicated to Gran Turismo, unlike what was done with the adaptations dedicated to Horizon Zero Dawn and God of War, co-produced with Netflix and Prime Video, respectively.
The fact is that there has been no official communication from Sony at this time and although the source is considered reliable, we remind you that the reported information still remains indiscretions. We therefore look forward to further updates on the new Gran Turismo adaptation.
