Developing a video game is an incredibly complex process. In fact, many of the problems the studio faces are only known internally as most keep their operations as secret as possible. However, there are rare occasions when companies open their doors to show us what the adventure of creating a game is like. The next one to do it will be Naughty dog who will quit documentary about development The Last of Us Part 2.
Needless to say, this is one of the most popular games of recent times. For many, it is one of the five best games that the previous generation of consoles left us. The above is, of course, a matter of taste.
What cannot be denied is that The Last of Us Part 2like many games being developed at the time, had to face a completely unexpected obstacle: a pandemic.
In the trailer Grounded II: The Making of The Last of Us, Part IIAs they titled the documentary, it’s clear that everything was going according to plan until the health crisis hit the world.
Almost at the beginning of the trailer, they even mention that the documentary was forgotten about after the pandemic began. And Naughty Dog employees had to follow self-isolation rules and move work home. Then continuation of production was ruled out.

What prompted PlayStation’s internal studio to restore previously recorded material? Well, next January 19th they will launch The Last of Us Part 2 Updateexclusive remaster for PS5.
Grounded II: The Making of The Last of Us, Part IISo this is part of the game’s promotional campaign. “Find out from the team at Naughty Dog what it took to bring the acclaimed sequel to life. The Last of Us Part 2with a new look behind the scenes of its development,” says the studio.
Apparently, the content involves multiple Naughty Dog developers. Including Neil Druckmanndirector of the game and who also took the reins – along with Craig Mazin – on the series Last of us. There are several employees who share their experience of participating in such an important project not only for the studio, but for the entire PlayStation division.
Currently a documentary It doesn’t have a release date yet.. We also don’t know which platform it will be distributed through. Considering that the release of the remaster is just around the corner, we will probably learn more details in the coming days.
