A few minutes after the official announcement of Final Fantasy VII: Rebirththe franchise’s creative director, Tetsuya Nomura, posted a message to fans on the official FF VII Twitter profile that some details on the new adventure of Cloud and companions. The content of the message is as follows:
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth it is designed so that people can enjoy the game whether they know the original game or not. New players can even enjoy starting their journey in FINAL FANTASY VII with FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH.
Cloud and his friends embark on a new journey in this title and I think the scenes they witnessed after leaving Midgar will give players a new and fresh experience Can’t wait to share the motivation for naming the first title, “REMAKE” and the second title, “REBIRTH”. In time, I hope to reveal what the third title will be called and where this journey will eventually lead.

Nomura therefore emphasizes that players can enjoy Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth even without ever having played the Remake. The goal, as also underlined by the director Naoki Hamaguchi, therefore continues to create awhole new experience which can involve fans of the franchise as well as new players.
We remind you that Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth will be available next winter, so between late 2023 and early 2024on PS5.
