Audit and consulting company B1 conducted a study of customer opinions in Russian banks.

The survey took place in August-October 2022, 1007 active Internet users and 33 representatives of the business community took part in it. In the majority of respondents – large cities, 9% live in settlements with a population of less than 10,000 people.

According to the sample, 61% of Russians did not notice major changes in gadget episodes. Only 17% have completely stopped using this payment method.

As for payment systems. 64% of respondents use Mir cards. Only 2% of people have UnionPay cards. Visa and Mastercard continue to be used by 54% and 44% of respondents, respectively. These cards continue to work in Russia thanks to the system of national payment cards (NSPK).

In 2019, the Russian analogue of the international payment service MirPay was launched. At the moment, it has been downloaded more than 10 million times on Google Play and 8 million times on AppGallery. And from March 2023, it will be possible to pay for purchases through MirPay in all online stores.

Another analogue of Apple Pay and Google Pay is QR-code payments through the Fast Payment System (FPS). [Ведомости]
