PS5 Pro additional specs leaked: it’s a real monster

Last week, one of the biggest news in the video game industry was without a doubt the leak of the PS5 Pro specs. This first round has already pointed to the unprecedented success of Sony’s most powerful console to date, which is expected to arrive sometime before Christmas this year. Now, thanks Insider Gameswe know more specs of what Sony has in store for its most impressive console yet.

According to Tom Herderson, famous insider industry, PS5 Pro will retain some fundamental aspects of the current versionl, but it will make a difference in net performance. In this sense, the processor, one of the most important elements of the console, that won’t change. The current processor will be retained, but in the case of Pro “High-frequency processor mode”which increases its performance to 3.85 GHz, which is 10% higher than the standard console.

This high CPU clock mode will allocate more power to the CPU in exchange for reducing GPU speed by about 1.5%, which won’t make much of a difference since that last element will be the one that changes the most. Pro.

PS5 Pro: An unprecedented leap in graphics

The PS5 Pro GPU, as we already saw in the latest leak, will be the big winner of the new version. On paper, rendering will be 45% faster than the standard PS5. The sound will also be significantly improved. According to the latest leaks, the PS5 ACV will run at a higher clock speed than the standard PlayStation 5, resulting in the ACM library delivering 35% more performance. Additionally, we have new specifications for two other key elements of the console: memory and GPU. In the first case I would take the leap up to 576 GB/s (18 GT/s)which represents a 28% increase over the current PS5, which offers 448 GB/s (14 GT/s).

As for the price, it will be as competitive as possible, so it looks like it will follow in the footsteps of the PS5 Slim, which will be sold separately, and with 1TB of storage.
