Inzone M9, 4K model fully prepared for hybrid scenario
Let’s start by talking about the M9, which is the more advanced of the two. Council has Full size LED backlighta system we’ve seen in high range for years that basically highlights pixels more intelligently to show more contrast.
Bright areas have a higher brightness, while darker areas appear… well, darker, with a color close to black. It has 95% DCI-P3 spectrum, this panel is 4K resolution and supports up to 144Hz.what, first of all, will be used on a PC.
It features G-Sync and VRR technology and is PS5 ready with some very interesting details. One side there is HDMI 2.1which already guarantees compatibility with new consoles from both Sony and Microsoft – recall the analysis of the Xbox Series X -.
It has DisplayHDR 600 certification and Auto HDR Tone Mapping technology. When we have a PS5 connected to this monitor, the game’s HDR characteristics are recognized to improve contrast, detail, and select the best settings for both high and low light areas.
It also has an automatic mode that changes the screen settings depending on whether we are playing or watching a movie on both streaming services and Blu-ray from the console.
However, apart from gaming, these new monitors are very interesting both for work and for hybrid setup we play on PC, we have a PS5/Xbox Series X plugged in and in addition we are running.
And this is that it can act as a HUB to which we connect a keyboard, mouse and cable headset and use this equipment both with two PCs connected to a monitor (for example, a laptop and a desktop) and with a PC and a console.
So we don’t have to change peripherals from one device to another in order to have a cleaner and tidier setup, and in addition to this feature, this is what Sony was aiming for when developing support.
It has lines very similar to PS5 lines. and it’s a little weird because it’s basically a tripod (which is very similar to the mount on your cameras).
Inzone M3, more designed to play on PC, but which you can connect your PS5 to without any problems.
On the other hand, we have a somewhat simpler model, the M3, which shares some common features with the M9 (such as design, ports, Automatic KVM Switch Technologies and automatisms for PS5), but this is changing in some aspects.
To start, the panel is different, as it has a more conventional backlight and FullHD resolution with a refresh rate of 240Hz. The HDR certification and brightness also change, as it jumps to DisplayHDR 400 in this case.
The design of both monitors is very similar, but the M3 doesn’t have the backlighting we see on the M9.
The price of new Sony monitors for PC and PS5
Having seen the main characteristics, it’s time to find out the price. At the time of writing, we have no information on the launch or price of the Inzone M3. We know that it will be available for purchase this winter, but no more precise data.
Nonethelesswe know that the M9 will go on sale for 1099 euros throughout the summer.. And, if you want to know our opinion on the monitor, here we leave you our analysis of this Inzone M9.
