Return to Monkey Island has returned to show itself in a new one ten seconds clip posted to Twitter by Dave Grossman. The very short video, which you can see in the tweet below, shows our terrifying pirate Guybrush Threepwood walking past the pier of theiconic Melee Island. In the background you can see a cursed ship and the sign of the historic Scumm Bar that longtime fans will remember.

Unfortunately, the film does not provide us with further details about the puzzle and interface, but allows us to see the new melee island and to the renewed Pictures which has recently been the subject of heavy criticism from those fans who wanted a return to pixel art graphics.

We read the official description of the game:

A daring pirate returns! Return to Monkey Island marks the unexpected and exciting return of series creator Ron Gilbert and is the sequel to the legendary adventures The Secret of Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge. Inside, players can enjoy modern point-and-click gameplay as they explore islands and solve puzzles. Return to Monkey Island is a console exclusive and is coming to Nintendo Switch this year.

Before we leave, we remind you that: Return to Monkey Island has no release date yet. The highly anticipated new chapter of the historic point-and-click series will be available by 2022 on PC and exclusively on Nintendo Switch consoles.
