Sent in an email to Japanese players from Xenoblade Chronicles 3senior director Tetsuya Takahashi thanked the fans and spoke about the future of the seriesshowing that this third chapter represents the end of a journey, but not the end of the Xenoblade saga.

Thanks to your support, we have released the third title of Xenoblade, twelve years after the release of Urinal for Wii in 2010. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has been called the pinnacle of the entire series thus far, and it really is. We at Monolith have put everything we’ve grown over the past 12 years into it,” said Takahashi’s message.

This title represents the conclusion of the Xenoblade story that began with Klaus’ experiment. Although it is a conclusion, this is it doesn’t mean the Xenoblade series is over. It’s just a stopping point for my mind. I believe that anyone who plays this title and the Expansion Pass add-on content will have the tools to find out what’s in future of Xenoblade.

Takahashi’s message then ends with an advice: “I have a tip for playing Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Some things are marked with a ‘?’ on the map. Even if you’re in the middle of the main story progress, if you hit a ‘?’ try to take a detour. There are many things waiting for you”.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is available exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
