On the occasion of the Gamescom 2022 Future Game Show, The Last Case of Benedict Fox is back to show itself with a new one gameplay trailer which also reveals the game’s release period. The interesting dark-toned metroidvania will be available in the spring of 2023 on PC, Xbox Series X | S and Game Pass since day one.
In the role of Benedict Fox, a self-proclaimed investigator, we will have to explore the ravines of an immense decadent villa, the site of the macabre murder of a young couple and the disappearance of their child, in search of clues. The protagonist, closely associated with his demonic companion, will have to use his powers to move from reality to an alternate world called “limbo“, a dark place that houses the crumbling memories of those who are no more. This mechanic allows Benedict to solve puzzles and discover the dark secrets of the mansion.
Halfway between metroidvania and investigative adventure, The Last Case of Benedict Fox will also offer a fascinating artistic sector which evokes the style of Tim Burton’s works and Lovecraftian iconography.
