WhatsApp will improve the interface used in groups and we already know how.

The company is working on a new function that has definitely helped a lot of people to know exactly what’s going on in group chats (we mean when it comes to knowing clearly who sent the message). We tell you all the positive things about what we’re talking about and what it can mean.

To date, messages in groups are viewed in a non-negative traditional way. But until now, in order to recognize the sender of a text or multimedia content, you need to look at their characteristics. Name in the relevant bubble… and this may not be very effective – especially if you haven’t added the user in question to your contacts. And this is exactly what will change in WhatsApp.

As you know, the idea the company has, you can see right next to it in messages sold in groups – whether it’s a new one or a reply. image representing the account. This is what each user puts in and is therefore usually pretty descriptive. This lets you know exactly who shared something at a glance without straining your eyes to read the name. The idea is very positive, but not exactly new.

We say this because there is already an existing form that is at least very similar. We refer to Apple iMessage or those found in Facebook Messenger or Instagram Direct. For this reason, what the company does is adapt to what the competition offers, rather than innovating. Of course, the step is positive and certainly on more than one occasion this new option will be very helpful in group chats.

This feature is under development

This means that currently this functionality is not available in trial versions of WhatsApp (for both iOS and Android). Then, It is not something that will be preferred by everyone in a short time.. Of course, it doesn’t seem like the time it took for the company to get everything ready won’t be particularly long, as the changes aren’t so profound and include variations on the app’s own usage. That way, it will surely be operational before the end of this year.
