NVIDIA Officially Announces: RTX 4000 Campaign Begins

A year ago, it was impossible to buy a video card. A waste of money that only those who didn’t mind paying 2-3 times the official GPU price could afford. That time was dark for gamers who looked with hatred at responsible miners.

Luckily for everyone, bitcoin and ethereum have fallen. Lots of. Which translates to standard graphics cards and back to recommended prices. Over a year later, players were able to upgrade their computers again.

The problem is that it’s been almost two years since NVIDIA’s RTX 3000 series has been out of stock for this entire period, so many gamers are skipping time to see if the US company gets inspired to release the anticipated RTX 4000. Today we have our first official announcement.

NVIDIA posted a short video called Project Beyond (Project Beyond in Spanish) via their Twitter account. In addition, we were told the date of the presentation: September 20 at 17:00 (Spanish time). The ceremony will, of course, be hosted by Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA.

With the typical green colors of the company and imitation of rays of light from a star, NVIDIA welcomes the campaign, which should culminate in the presentation of the RTX 4000.

We don’t know much about the RTX 4000, although all indications are that they will be much more powerful than their smaller sisters. (double is assumed). But it is also believed that they will consume much more than the current ones.

Data on the RTX 4090 and 4080 has been leaked, but we’ve been getting power and consumption data that we haven’t been able to verify or certify. What is clear is that the NVIDIA 4000 will not take into account the energy crisis that is devastating Europe.

A few months ago it was reported that NVIDIA paid a large sum to TSMC to start production of their new graphics, which is logical, since we live in a time of chip shortage, with a really big queue of orders.

If we see an RTX 4000 at the end of the year, we shouldn’t be surprised, although we may not actually see them until CES in January 2023. With hardware, things are not as fast as we would like.
