mafia is now available free on steam. In celebration of the series’ 20th anniversary, 2k Games announced that the first historical chapter of the saga will be available for free download from the Valve platform until September 5. If you’ve never had a chance to play it, run to redeem it because despite the years, it’s still one of the best gangster games ever.
The first mafia says it takes place in the Prohibition years the story of Tommy Angeloa taxi driver from the town of Lost Heaven, who suddenly becomes involved in organized crime.
We read the official description of the game:
“The year is 1930. After an unfortunate encounter with the mafia, Tommy Angelo, a taxi driver, ends up in the world of organized crime despite himself. Competing with the Salieri family may seem like too much of a risk, but crime pays, and lots of it. His rise in the ranks will lead him to ever greater earning… and dirtier jobs. Winning the respect of the Salieri and becoming a man of honour, an irreparable conflict arises between Tommy and his new life.“
The ability to redeem the first mafia for free on Steam is just one of them many initiatives that 2K has in store to celebrate i 20 years of the series, which also include numerous discounts on the saga’s titles. From now on you can buy Mafia: Definitive Edition for €13.99 instead of €39.99, Mafia II: Definitive Edition for €9.89 instead of €29.99 and Mafia III: Definitive Edition for € 9.89 in instead of €29.99.
