Multiplayer Modern Warfare 2 is now available to everyone. The new weapon system in the game, focused on different families, slightly changes the dynamics of unlocking accessories and weapons themselves, as they are no longer tied to the overall rank level. To unlock many types of weapons, there are raise the level of one of them in each family. Very different from other Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
On the one hand, weapons in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 have fewer levels than other years, but also have slow progression. And there are some that, in order to gain access to them, had to go through several levels earlier. This means that some of the dynamics must be changed as the game forces us to play with weapons that we don’t like or haven’t considered.
Although token 2 XP makes it much easier to level up, both weapons and range, the truth is that the game just came out and there aren’t many of them. In addition, they are a consumable associated in some cases with micropayments, so other methods must be sought.
The best game modes for picking up weapons in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
The fastest way to level up a weapon is through the Invasion or Prisoner game modes. First for rampage and, most importantly, including bots. Bots are very easy to kill, and they also have the advantage that, in terms of weapon experience, it counts the same as killing a normal player. In addition, there are a lot of them, and if the player is lucky enough to catch respawn bots, you can level up the weapon by 4-5 levels per Invasion game.
I mean, if you set it up right, you can level a full weapon in 4 full games, at least the ones that have 20-21 levels. Weapons and level-locked weapons are a different story. They’re actually usually easier to download on hardcore (or in this case, tier 1), but the game mode isn’t available yet and won’t be until mid-November.
Another option is to rescue the prisoners. Although this game mode is closer to BYD and not respawn constants, every kill in these matches counts as 4 in traditional modes, so if you’re a good player this can be a great source of weapon exp and prepare everything for Warzone.
Remember that if neither of the two methods is convincing,or is it easier to play Hot Point or Dominion and suffer losses in target zones. They will offer more experience than regular kills, but will always be slower than playing Invasion or Prisoner Rescue. And there, logically, it is more limited to SBMM, so there will be games in which you will barely earn XP if your opponents are players with a high K/D Ratio.
