Microsoft has announced the arrival of a series of adaptive accessories, designed to meet the needs of people with disabilities. The new set of accessories, presented at the Microsoft Ability Summit, is designed to take advantage of new input systems, making games and apps accessible to practically everyone.

These new devices are made of Microsoft Inclusive Tec Lab in partnership with the disabled user community to meet the needs of those unable to use more traditional aids such as pads, keyboards and mice.

The special elements of the set are theAdaptive mousel’Adaptive button and theAdaptive Hub: the mouse can be adapted to your needs to accommodate different handles or specific configurations. Each adaptive button, on the other hand, can transform into a large D-pad or joystick controller based on the custom attack. Finally, the hub can wirelessly connect up to four buttons at once, while also connecting up to three other devices via Bluetooth or USB-C.

Microsoft is therefore continuing its path towards more inclusiveness. Last year the company already had its special Surface Adaptive Kitdesigned to make its devices easier to use through a range of tactile aids.
