Forbes owner Magomed Musaev has agreed with Anton Averyanov (co-owner of Fanatic agency) and Evgeny Davydov (co-owner of Setters) to transfer to them a 50% stake in Business Insight Media LLC, which owns the Harvard Business Review magazine in Russia. . Other details of the agreement were not disclosed. The publication itself will be relaunched under the Big Ideas brand.
Paper and electronic versions of the Russian Harvard Business Review No will be out in the summer of 2022, as the franchise owner Harvard Business Publishing School froze the license to publish the magazine in Russia.
According to Averyanov, the main income of the publication came from the sale of print editions, so after the license was frozen, “most subscribers fell”.
The Big Ideas team decided to develop a site with a subscription. Averyanov estimated the magazine’s audience at 50 thousand people – these are top managers, graduates of business schools and entrepreneurs.
The publication is currently assembling a permanent “science council” that will help “shape and understand the agenda.”
The magazine’s owners plan to remove the advertising model, “rebuild” its digital platforms and bring back events and conferences.
