Now, it is unknown when and how Nintendo will be able to sell these emulators. for its stellar Nintendo Switch console. However, looking at the company’s strategy, everything suggests that these products will be part of the Nintendo Switch Online subscription, just like other previous console emulators.
Nintendo Switch Online is available in two different plans: the Standard variant, which includes multiplayer in addition to some extra padding; and an expansion pack option that adds some DLC for Nintendo games (such as Animal Crossing or Mario Kart) to an online connection. This last package also offers the ability to play some N64 games through an emulator. Therefore, it would not be surprising if the Game Boy and GBA emulators follow the same path and are only available to those highest-level Nintendo Switch Online subscribers.
