In a recent study, researchers found that in adults with type 2 diabetes, the greatest improvement in glucose control was when they exercised in the afternoon. This became known after the data for the first and fourth years of the study were analyzed.

Also, the group that moved more in the afternoon was more likely to stop taking their diabetes medication.

2400 people participated in this study. All wore a device to measure their physical activity. The limitations of the study are that it did not consider factors such as sleep and diet.
