Zen, Rutube and Twitch were included in a special registry of Roskomnadzor social networks. Now these resources are needed to independently find and block the prohibited information hosted by them. The registry includes services whose daily audience exceeds 500,000 people.

“Zen”, Rutube and Twitch entered the Roskomnadzor social network registry

Roskomnadzor has expanded a special register of social networks. The list includes Zen, Rutube and Twitch, according to a post on the Roskomnadzor website.

The register of social networks includes resources whose daily audience exceeds 500 thousand people. It already contains VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, Twitter, TikTok and others.

The registry was created in September 2021. The resources included in it are required to independently find and block published prohibited information, as well as host a support counter and an electronic form for user feedback.

In March 2022, Roskomnadzor deregistered Facebook and Instagram services owned by Meta Platforms (the activity was recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation and prohibited).
