Many psychiatrists don’t even know that iron deficiency is associated with worsening symptoms of mental illness or that supplementation is associated with improvement in symptoms. But there is scientific proof of this.

Scientific studies also show a link between low iron levels and symptoms of depression, anxiety, and schizophrenia.

Finally, low iron levels in the body are known to be associated with fatigue. Fatigue is one of the symptoms of depression.
