Russian companies may be required to pay budget deductions for the use of foreign software. This was stated by the head of government of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin, his words are reported by Forbes.

Half of the amount raised could go to support national IT companies and the other half to their prime loans, Mishustin admitted. At the same time, the chief of staff did not mention the amount of deductions, the introduction of which is being considered in the government.

Russian software has risen in price by 50% by 2023, Kommersant reported, citing software consumers. This happened after the exit of foreign software developers from the Russian market and a decrease in competition in the market, the experts explained.
