This penalty is due to the Cupertinos making false statements in a commercial advertisement for the Macbook Air laptop they sell. Apple has allegedly claimed that “the M1 chip is the fastest CPU we’ve ever produced”.
However, after a research, it was learned that Apple released a MacBook Pro with M1 Pro and M1 Max processors at the same time it was advertised, which provides 70% faster performance compared to the M1.
Experts say that such advertising hoaxes, including false messages, quality, functionality, pricing and supporting documentation, violate key requirements of the China Advertising Law, which requires the ad to be credible.
