45% of Russians ignored messages and calls from recruiters, even when they were actively looking for a job and leaving contacts to communicate. Women did this more often than men. This is stated in the study by Rabota.ru and SberPodbor, the results of which were reviewed by RB.RU.
Among the 18-24 audience, the percentage of those who responded that they ignored recruiters is 57%, among the 45-54 audience, only 42%.
Young job seekers also prefer to avoid talking on the phone and prefer social media and instant messengers to discuss questions about vacancies.
36% of respondents ignored potential employers because they felt the vacancy was not right for them, but decided not to tell HR specialists about it. Another 23% do not answer calls because they do not answer calls from unknown numbers.
The study says that 22% of job seekers ignored messages and calls from recruiters because it was inconvenient for them to communicate at that particular time.
And just 9% of those surveyed pointed to recruiters’ tendency to ignore their feedback, making them feel entitled to respond in kind.
The study involved 1,300 Russians over the age of 18 from all regions of Russia.
