The operator “Beeline” has set a limit on the duration of a telephone conversation of 30 minutes for Moscow residents. This is done to protect customers from unnecessary costs for stuck calls, a company representative told Vedomosti.
The company notes that the duration of a call has decreased from one hour to 30 minutes. After half an hour, the call ends automatically. The operator’s representative clarified that the restriction is already in force in some other regions of the country.
“This is done to protect the company’s customers from unnecessary costs for “sticky” calls that for some reason were not interrupted,” said a Beeline representative.
He added that only 0.6% of users of the company’s service speak for half an hour or more.
Last year, the FAS accused the MTS operator of violating antitrust laws. The company unreasonably inflated the prices of communication services. The service made a similar decision in relation to MegaFon.
