The people of VK created the UnionVK community for the alumni of the group. The objective of the project is to exchange experiences and contacts for the launch of companies, the attraction of investments and the development of a career. Community organizers told RB.RU this.

VK natives created a community for the exchange of experience for group graduates.

Among the ambassadors are the co-founder of GeekBrains, the partner of GuruDev Capital Hayk Hayrapetyan, the co-founder of EBAC Skillbox Andrey Anishchenko, the ex-STO of the VK group Igor Ermakov, the co-founder of HomeHive, the former head of cloud product Tanya Ermakov and others. .

Community organizers identify several key benefits of participation:

  • Meet a co-founder to launch a business, investors to raise funds, employees to expand your team;
  • Find a job or an employee, a mentor for personal and professional development, a partner to prepare for an interview,
  • Expand current experience, experience with the help of new technologies, the circle of acquaintances, etc.

The closest analogues to the community are Xooglers and YNDXFamily. Xooglers is focused on entrepreneurship and employs over 15,000 people. Launched in October 2022, YNDXFamily focuses on startups, careers, and networking and has over 2,000 members.

The number of potential members of UnionVK is more than 25 thousand people. More than half of the VK group graduates live outside of Russia: in Berlin, Limassol, London, Tbilisi, Yerevan and Istanbul.

Those who have ever worked in the group can become members of UnionVK. Participation in the project is free.
