Now WhatsApp compresses the image by default to save data and space on the device of the recipient of the message, but therefore the quality of the image, as a rule, leaves much to be desired. The new functionality will allow you to choose the resolution in two versions: Standard quality – 1600 x 1052 pixels and HD Quality – 4096 x 2692 pixels. A high resolution image will be marked with an HD icon when posted to chat.
In this case, the image will still shrink a bit. It is not yet known when the stable version of Messenger with this feature will be released.
