Yandex, Kaspersky Lab and Sberbank became leaders in the rating of “tech” companies. It was compiled by ANO “Tsifrovaya ekonomika” and experts from the Higher School of Economics of the National Research University; According to their data, most of the patents for IT products are assigned to these three companies.
Specialists from the ANO Tsifrovaya ekonomika and the Institute for Research Statistics and Knowledge Economy of the Higher School of Economics of the National Research University compiled a rating of “tech” companies. It was prepared on the basis of data on the number of patents assigned to companies for digital products.
The leaders in the rating are Yandex (411 patents), Kaspersky Lab (408 patents) and Sberbank (305 patents). The ranking took into account invention patents, utility models, industrial designs.
The above three companies account for about 76% of the active patents for IT products among the companies that entered the ranking, and 95% for industrial design patents.
The rating did not include companies such as Ozon, Wildberries, VK, Avito, Tinkoff, because at the moment they do not have valid patents for IT products, the creators of the rating noted.
