Wheely premium taxi service announced a rebranding and new concept, an in-app service for customers in need of a personal assistant appeared. Forbes writes about this with reference to the company.
Wheely was founded by the son of the former head of the Perm region, Oleg Chirkunov, Anton in 2012.
After 10 years of work, the service updated the logo and corporate identity, which were developed in conjunction with the London agency Commission. The company notes that the rebranding is associated with a turning point in the service.
The changes are related to Wheely’s plans to develop “beyond transportation services.” The application now has a special Concierge service, which will provide the services of a personal assistant. For example, with this option you can send a bouquet of flowers to loved ones, arrange a surprise or go through an important purchase.
Wheely plans to develop new markets and the rebranding has become part of this ambitious initiative.
In 2019, Wheely moved its headquarters from Moscow to London, and in the summer of 2022, announced the closure of offices in Yekaterinburg and Perm. Also in the summer, the RKN entered the Wheely website into the register of prohibited information in order to obtain information about the work of the company without reputable branches in the Russian Federation.
