To the delight of all, the service has gotten a little smarter. And all thanks to a new feature that can recognize your face even if only the back of your head is visible in the photo.
The feature was discovered when a user noticed that Google Photos started tagging her husband in all photos, even with his back to the camera.
While the feature still doesn’t work 10 out of 10 times, its accuracy is already incredible and leaves you wondering how accurate it will be in the future.
Discussions immediately started on the web, is this feature a necessary part of Google Photos? Or can the company do without such a powerful and somewhat intimidating feature?
